Christina Duperron has had the passion for interior design
from a very young age. Her Mother noticed her innate ability to pull together colors
and fabrics in their own home to perfection. She would also exhibit her creativity
by spending hours re-designing her custom-made (by her Father) Barbie house! She
would move the furniture around, change the carpet and wallpaper and even re-paint
some rooms. She would also create new “houses” and “spaces” out of stacking books
at different levels and placing the furniture accordingly. Because of these early
tell-tale signs, her Mother encouraged her to pursue the field of interior design.
Christina is a Northern Michigan native, originally from Mesick. She earned her Bachelor
of Fine Arts degree with Academic Honors in Interior Design from Kendall College
of Art and Design. She has worked for a variety of organizations including: Custer
Office Environments, Haworth Corporate, Expressions Custom Furniture, AAI Architects,
and Betsie Bay Furniture prior to opening her own design business in 2006. She has
been in the Interior Design field since 1999 and is also a licensed builder. She
has been a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) since 1996.
She currently resides in Benzie County with her husband Sean and daughter Nicolette
and takes advantage of all it has to offer by cross-country and downhill skiing,
hiking, boating, canoeing, and playing bassoon. |
